Lions, tigers, and giraffes...oh my!!!!

What biome will you typically find zebras, gazelles, and cheetahs? In this biome you will find very few trees and rolling grasslands. These animals and plants live in a biome that has two distinct seasons...wet and dry. Why are there just two distinct seasons? What is the name of this biome and where on earth can you find it?

  6. Savannas have warm temperature year round. There are actually two very different seasons in a savanna; a very long dry season (winter), and a very wet season (summer).

  12. Response to all,

Water and food are plentiful during the wet season and not so much during the dry. If there is alot of food and water, how will the animals and plants take advantage of this?

  15. Response to Anayzia,

Yes, during the wet season animals and plants tend to reproduce more because there are a lot of resources. During the dry season, what will occur between animals and plants to get the limited resources.
